MANUSQUARE
MANUSQUARE
OBJECTIVE: |
MANU-SQUARE project aims to create a virtual ecosystem and marketplace, supported by an electronic platform, in order to meet the supply of available production and engineering capacities in relation to its demand, thus allowing the flexible creation of distributed value chains and the contracting of available engineering and production capacities that would otherwise not be used. |

DESCRIPTION: |
The project is part of a consortium of 12 international partners from 6 countries (Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Israel and Latvia) and is structured around 7 nuclear activities: 1 - Reference model and platform architecture This activity aims to define the reference framework for the MANU-SQUARE platform and business model, serving as a fundamental basis for the development of the remaining activities. 2 – Ecosystem ontological representation This activity aims at defining the basic elements for the implementation of the MANU-SQUARE ecosystem and its management, namely actors, production capacities, technologies, available resources, etc., for the identification of possible interactions. 3 - Blockchain-based platform infrastructure This activity aims to design and implement the platform infrastructure for the storage and exchange of information along the supply chains that may be established, adopting blockchain technology. 4 – Service-providing tools for platform expansibility This activity aims to define a set of services and tools to be integrated in the platform in order to allow the flexible establishment of supply chains and contracting among the members of the ecosystem, with a view to its operationalization. 5 – Maas platform business model This activity aims to orchestrate and integrate the solutions that will be generated in the previous activities, allowing the unused engineering and production capacities to be profitable by their introduction in the virtual market, and thus generate economic value for the participating companies. 6 - Demonstration pilots This activity, as its name indicates, focuses on the demonstration of the MANU-SQUARE platform for its use in two sector pilots, namely in the machine tool sector and the silk sector. 7 - Dissemination, communication and exploitation of results This activity focuses on the definition, planning and implementation of the project's dissemination, communication and exploitation strategy. |
