PIMAP+
OBJECTIVE: |
Establish an effective interclusters collaboration on a European scale, aiming at the implementation of a joint internationalization strategy, targeting the US, Canada, Japan and China markets; support the establishment of new value chains made up of SMEs for the consolidation of a supply of photonics enabled advanced production technologies, directed to Metalworking Industry, Aeronautics and other pertinent sectors. |

DESCRIPTION: |
The PIMAP+ project brings together 6 European clusters and aims to strengthen internationalisation and cross-sectoral cooperation between the ecosystems of the clusters involved. It envisages: (1) the exploitation of synergies and opportunities for collaboration between the participating cluster ecosystems and SMEs, in particular by integrating enabling technologies (e.g. photonics) and other technologies (e.g. microwaves) into production systems supporting the development of new equipment and the modernisation of manufacturing industry, and in particular solutions targeted at the metal and aeronautics sectors, and (2) and in line with the complementarities and synergies identified, implement joint internationalisation actions in the US, Canadian, Japanese and Chinese markets.
- two clusters, the Alpha Route des Lasers et des Hyperfréquences (France) and the Joensuu Science Park (Finland), whose focus is on companies developing photonic and microwave technologies; - two production technology clusters, namely PRODUTECH-Production Technologies Cluster (Portugal) and AFIL cluster (Italy), bringing together producers of capital goods, companies developing solutions in the field of digitalisation and developers of robotic systems, with high potential for integration of these solutions in production systems; - the Triple Steelix Cluster (Sweden) focused at the steel value chain, bringing together steel producers, metallurgical and metalworking companies, among others. - and the Moravian Aerospace Cluster (Czech Republic) aimed at the aeronautical and aerospace sectors. The project lasts two years and focuses on identifying opportunities for collaboration between SMEs in the various clusters and promoting joint initiatives to address the 4 markets identified (USA, Canada, Japan and China). This project aims to broaden and deepen the results of the PIMAP partnership project concluded on 31.12.2019. |
