DESCRIPTION: |
The PIMAP4Sustainability project brings together 6 European clusters and aims to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation between the ecosystems the involved clusters, in the areas of innovation, internationalisation and qualification. For this purpose the project foresees: (1) the exploitation of synergies and collaboration opportunities between the ecosystems and SMEs of the participating clusters, leveraging the development and adoption of enabling technologies, to accelerate industry resilience, sustainability and digitization; (2) the provision of a comprehensive set of services and financial mechanisms dedicated to support European innovation projects, internationalization missions and actions for the qualification and requalification of the workforce in critical domains. The partnership is based on 6 complementary European clusters with a long history of collaborations in previous European projects (PIMAP Partnership and PIMAP+): - two clusters, the Alpha Route des Lasers et des Hyperfréquences (France) and the Photonics Finland (Finland), whose focus is on companies developing photonic and microwave technologies; - two production technology clusters, namely PRODUTECH-Production Technologies Cluster (Portugal) and AFIL cluster (Italy), bringing together producers of capital goods, companies developing solutions in the field of digitalisation and developers of robotic systems, with high potential for integration of these solutions in production systems; - the RISE (Sweden) focused at the steel value chain, bringing together steel producers, metallurgical and metalworking companies and advanced materials, among others. - and the Moravian Aerospace Cluster (Czech Republic) aimed at the aeronautical and aerospace sectors. This project aims to deepen the partnership relationship established in the previous PIMAP Partnership and PIMAP+ projects, concluded on 31.12.2019 and 31.08.2022, respectively, extending the relations between the clusters, in particular in the fields of qualification, internationalisation and innovation. It ultimately aims to contribute to the UN's objectives for sustainable development, to the new industrial strategy of the European Commission and to the priorities of the European Green Deal. |
