PRODUTECH recognized internationally as Cluster of Excellence

As part of the EU efforts to create world-class clusters across the EU and strengthening their excellence, the Commission launched, in 2009, the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI), under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme. Under ECEI a common understanding of cluster management excellence was developed leading to the creation of a quality labelling system for professional cluster management. It included a set of quality indicators and a certification system.

Nowadays, ESCA - The European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis  is entrusted to offer practical advice to cluster management organizations and to assess the award of the Cluster Excellence labels (Bronze, Silver and Gold).

In order to qualify for the "Cluster Management Excellence Label GOLD" cluster management organisations need to meet certain "levels of excellence" in terms of its structure, governance, financing, strategy, services and recognition. In the course of a two-day thorough assessment conducted by two external experts 31 indicators are assessed. The "Gold label" represents the highest and most demanding of all levels.

Following of the assessment, held on May 7^th-8^th , PRODUTECH was awarded with the Certificate of Excellence "Gold Label" and was invited to join the group of international experts that monitors the global certification process and decide on the award of this certification.
